Product Description and Features

Product Description

Weber.blokfix is a non-refractory mortar, used for laying masonry units like AAC blocks. It is a self curing mortar made from cement, selected fine sand and polymeric additivies, which esure good bonding and durable strength btween the blocks.

Key Features

  • Self curing mortar does not require post curing on blocks fixed with weber blokfix
  • Ready to mix, water to be added at site as per mixing ratio
  • Long pot life reduces the wastage at site at the same time large quantity of  material can be mixed.
  • Good bonding between the blocks and cementitious surface.
  • Easy to apply
  • Econmical in use
  • Cosistent quality material
  • Able to withstand hammering, electric conduiting, chiseling and framing done at construction site as per standard masonry practice.
  • Wall constuction speed - full wall in 2-3 days depending upon adhesive thinkess.

It is recommended for fixing AAC, CLC, hollow, concrete blocks and bricks.

Preparation and Application

Direction For Use

  • Pre-wet the blocks and esure it is touch dry before thin bed masony mortar is applied.
  • The surface for mounting must be throughly cleaned of all laitance, loose materials, oil greases etc.
  • Ensure that the surface is flat, structually sound and free from any other contamination which would reduce the bond strength.
  • The surface should be free from voids, holes and cracks.

Mixing Ratio

  • Gradually add 2.5 parts of powder to 1 part of water (by volume) and mix for 5 - 10 mins to acheive a smooth paste consistency.
  • Attempt to be made to break the lump during mixing so that maximum disprsion of polymers takes place in the mortar resulting into good bonding strength with the blocks.
  • After mixing allow the paste to stand for 2- 3 mins to mature and again mix it for paste consistency.
  • Do not attempt to extend the pot life by adding more water to the mixed adhesive.

Application Methodology

  • Put well mixed weber blokset on the block, with he help ofa trowel spread mortar uniformly on the unit.
  • Use the notch trowel for good transfer and firmly place the block with slight shear to ensure good ransfer and bonding.
  • weber blokset to be applied on the faces of the block and on column and beam, material to be applied on both ie surfaces as well as on block to ensure good bonding at the joints.
  • Use rubber hammer to have good contact between the blocks.
  • Go on placing the blocks with the above methord and erect the wall.

For a 3mm bed thickness the coverage will be 7-7.5 kg/sqm
Note:The coverage will vary depending on surface undulations.

Shelf Life

1 year from the date of manufacturing,  for unopened bags, stored in dry condition.
